Player Grades: MacKinnon Continues His Point Streak in Avalanche Win (+)

Published

The Colorado Avalanche looked for a bounce-back game on the road after the loss to the Calgary Flames. They went into St. Paul, Minn., tonight looking for the division win and to keep Nathan MacKinnon to continue his point streak.

Both happened. The grades:

Nathan MacKinnon (A): MacKinnon continued his point streak by assisting on the Samuel Girard goal, along with Val Nichushkin. He had a chip into the zone on the goalie that Mikko Rantanen crashed on the net. This would get a goal and the lead. MacK scored a pretty tip goal to salt the game away 5-3. MacKinnon stole a goal from Makar in the third with a tipped shot, giving Makar the assist.
