After scoring 55 goals in the regular season, and then adding seven more in the playoffs, Mikko Rantanen has decided to share the wealth over at the World Championships.

Through fives games, Rantanen leads the tournament in assists with seven. On Friday, he picked up three primary assists in Finland’s 7-1 win over Hungary.

Rantanen, of course, is no stranger to being a playmaker. Over the last six seasons, he’s averaged .68 assists per game at the NHL level. It’s just that this season, his goal scoring seemed to take off.

Take a look at his three assists from today. He’s making life easy for his teammates, drawing the opposition to him and giving them time to get their shots off.

Montreal Canadiens forward Joel Armia spoke about the Avalanche forward after the win.

Finland plays again tomorrow, this time against Austria, giving the superstar more chances to rack up the assists. They are currently in third place in Group A with 10 points.
