At CHN, we’ve been talking for months about how we heard it was going to happen, but this week, the Colorado Avalanche were able to get Nikolai Kovalenko signed, clearing the way for him to join the team in the Spring of 2024.

In addition, we took a look at the new acquisitions for Colorado, and which ones are going to be the most important to their success.

Here’s a look back at what you might have missed the previous two weeks at CHN, and a peak at what’s coming.

Monday

The schedule was released for the 2023 Rookie Faceoff Tournament that will take place in Vegas this September.

Tuesday

Which new acquisition from the Avalanche is going to the most important next season?

The rumored entry-level contract was completed, as the Avalanche signed Nikolai Kovalenko to a 2-year deal.

Wednesday

We ran a poll on the site…which new acquisition are you all most excited about? It was a lot closer than I expected…

The last free agent on the team, Ben Meyers, signed a one-year deal for the league minimum.

Thursday

Our Central Division power rankings, which includes about 5 or 6 teams that really aren’t that impressive.

Friday

I appeared on Tell It Avs It Is to talk Avalanche hockey, Nikolai Kovalenko, and more.

Who are the 3 Avalanche players with the most to prove next season?

Saturday

Everyone is very excited for Nikolai Kovalenko, but the names Kaprizov and Kuzmenko have been thrown around as comparisons. Is that fair? I dug into that a bit more.
