Nathan MacKinnon Back On Skates; Cogliano To Miss A Week Or So

Some fresh video of Nathan MacKinnon this morning, shot by yours truly. He’s looking pretty good outu there, isn’t he?

MacKinnon, despite wearing a blue jersey, did not participate in the Avalanche’s regular practice, on the other side of the rink.

But this is obviously a sight for sore eyes. MacKinnon was hurt Dec. 5 in Philadelphia, and the team said he’d be out four weeks. So, we’re a little more than halfway there.

On Andrew Cogliano: Jared Bednar said on his Altitude radio show this morning that Cogs will be out until after Christmas, but that may be it. So, it’s good news overall on him.

Bednar will speak to the media shortly here at Family Sports Center, so I’ll update anything new.

Denis Malgin, by the way, has not arrived in Denver yet. He’s still got immigration paperwork to deal with.
