NHL: Boston Bruins at San Jose Sharks

The Colorado Avalanche made a minor league trade on Saturday during the second day of the NHL draft. Forward Ivan Ivan was sent to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Fabian Lysell.

Lysell, 23, spent the 2025-26 season playing for the American Hockey League’s Providence Bruins and recorded 17 goals and 42 points in 57 games. He was selected No. 21 overall in the 2021 NHL Draft. The Avs recently acquired the No. 19 and No. 27 picks from the same draft in Zachary L’Heureux and Fedor Svechkov.

A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, Lysell turned pro during the 2022-23 campaign and has 163 points in 219 AHL games with Providence. Listed at 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, the winger has dressed in 12 career NHL games, all of which came with the Bruins in 2024-25. He had a goal and three points.

Ivan signed with Colorado as a free agent on March 5, 2024. He appeared in 49 games for the Avalanche and recorded nine points and 69 points in 169 games for the AHL’s Colorado Eagles.
