Avs lose 4-3, but the top prospects looked good

First off, the Avs could have won or lost 468-0 tonight, and I wouldn’t have cared. It was a preseason game, and there are few things more boring and meaningless than preseason hockey. That said, it was still fun to watch some hockey tonight, even though the result was a 4-3 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights.
That the Avs team that showed up at T-Mobile Arena tonight – one that featured few players from the roster that figure to play on opening night in the real season – made it a real game against the more veteran-infused lineup was a good showing regardless. There were a lot of nice things that happened out there from the perspective of an Avs fan.
