UPDATE: Thursday, the Avalanche repeated the lower-body injury diagnosis and said Pavel Francouz would be out 3-4 weeks.

Nazem Kadri and Mikko Rantanen came into the Ball Arena interview room first Tuesday night after the Avalanche’s 7-4 exhibition loss to Vegas.

I noted that neither is a doctor or trainer, but asked their reactions to seeing goalie Pavel Francouz suffer an apparent injury midway through the second period and eventually skate off to the locker room. Francouz is coming off a pair of hip surgeries at the Steadman Clinic in Vail and he missed all of last season.
