The good news: The Colorado Avalanche not only won, but Philipp Grubauer also pitched a 4-0 shutout. The bad news: It was at the expense of Nathan MacKinnon taking a headshot from San Jose Sharks winger Joachim Blichfeld (who was only skating in his fourth career game). In some ways, the victory felt slightly pyrrhic….
